Clarissa did it again, this is the second part of The Billionaire's Bet, here the story continues, this is also a short story.
Like the first one it has steamy hot scenes, you also get more inside in both characters. You will get to know that Dominic has some dark secrets, he's not eager to share these with Julie. After some hot steamy nights Julie needs more from Dominic not only his dominant side but his loving site, his heart she wants the whole package.
Will they survive their love of will it break them?
Book 2 in the The Billionaire's Bet picks up right where the previous book leaves off. Things are definitely heating up for Dominic and Julie in and out of the bedroom. They have worked out the contract and have started living as a D/s couple. Of course, no relationship is perfect especially with someone new to the life. Julie struggles but she is making strides, that is when she isn’t breaking the rules. Dominic, on the other hand, has some serious issues he needs to work on. He has some internal conflicts that have carried over that prevent him from being a good Dom. There were a few moments when I was screaming at my for Julie to run. Seriously, Dominic should not be a Dom if he can’t work out his inner conflicts. This one is definitely more emotional than the previous book as Julie tells him she wants more and he reveals his inner conflicts. This series is definitely getting interesting!
I was giving the box set of The Billionaire's Bet by the author to review. I feel in all fairness that each book deserves to be reviewed as well. This second book had definitely perked my interest. I am so ready for the next book!

Wow she jumped into this relationship quick, I would have thought this type of relationship would take longer to build especially since she is new to all of this. Some of his rules are hard and I don't think she is taking him seriously. There are some parts about this relationship that I love but then there are some parts that bother me, like her asking if they can ever wash together and when she wanted to ask for a goodbye kiss, I just didn't like it. Then right away a call comes into his cell phone which he forgot at home and she is jumping to conclusions about what the call means. I love the whole vibrating egg thing, it is so funny and exciting. At times he is so stressed that I hate how he growls at her but then he does stop and say he is sorry, I wonder what is going on with his business, and why does he not want to talk about his past sub? The whole scene at the restaurant with him controlling the egg vibrator is fantastic. I had a hard time after a while going back and forth between their relationship, one minute they are Dom and Sub but the next time they feel like any other couple except as soon as she wants to know more about him he pulls away and uses the whole she has to listen to him thing to quiet her down. Then the whole punishment thing where he overdose it with her, I thought that was a huge no no in the D/S world, the Dom losing control, hurting his sub, and now she is afraid of him, well was for a very short time then she comes to a realization and it is enough to excuse his behavior away. Then he takes her to that warehouse to give her an idea of what a play party is like, right away I think to myself please don't have others touch her or have him touch another woman, I hate reading about that, and I was so happy she did not write it like that. I don't trust Daisy, I don't know what she is up to but something doesn't feel right. The sex scenes are so hot and I love reading about the different things he uses. I am not sure where this relationship is going but I am anxious to read the next book.
I think it could have been a little more depth to the story and maybe not so short. The storyline and the plot was pretty good though.
Yea, so the "hero" had some serious issues that needed to be addressed. My brows were furrowed the whole time I read this. I liked the first one, but I just thought it was a little much. I don't know, maybe something was missing.
I can't believe this series is written by Clarissa Wild, whose other books I enjoyed. The writing is just awful, to the point that it feels as if English is not her native language. Furthermore, the dialogue between the main characters is banal and tedious. They sound like two high school kids as opposed to adults. And don't even get me started on what a crybaby the H is...seriously??? It made me want to slap him. The first book was good but this one was a dealbreaker...won't be buying the third or fourth book.
