Ok, so is book is goofy as heck. I mean, once you get past how the siblings (on both sides) talk to each other ... Lots of goofy slang, lots of dirty talk, lots of silliness ... You can see how much they love and are involved in each other's lives.

Both characters have a past, but it is told very lightly and briefly and def not the focus.

The 2 grow close over a drive from Seattle to LA, it is crazy and they are crazy and cute - and again, the slang and silly talk become a sort of language.

The book is super funny and light.

I would have loved an Epilogue since it is said to be a stand alone but I see it is a spin off and def a spin off of Zander would be a good book.

Ball Peen Hammer The Morgan Brothers Book 3 edition by Lauren Rowe Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

You know I love you the most, right?

Brilliant I can't believe I'm only reading this book now. I need more of these Morgan Brothers. Keane is just so good and very sexy. Is a lil like a Duracell bunny at times and the things he comes out with are hilarious. The bromance he has with Zander is so funny they crack my up laughing throughout this whole book. He is so fun loving and sweet. I really liked him from the very start of this book and I loved him by the end.

Maddy is so good I really like her. She is a very different character to Keane but I like that there different. She has had a few ups and downs happen to her a few years ago. But she is making the most of her life now and things are looking up for her.

Keane and Maddy's relationship does start very well. Keane's lay back attitude does get quite annoying at times. But it is just what Maddy need she need to let loose at times. I do love that a bit of Ball Peen Hammer runs of on Maddy. The things she ends up saying had me in stitches throughout this book. They actually ended up being a bit like each other it was great. I really liked these to. The sexual tension between them was crazy hot. It's something that Keane is so not used to and Maddy isn't use to be being so forward. God I love Keane.

I would highly recommend this book. My friend have told me about this author a while ago and I have to say I m delighted they did. Her writing is great and the humour in this book is so good. It was just what I didnt. I really can't wait to read more from this series and her other books.
I had to abandon this book after 6 chapters, I tried to power through and hope it just the first few chapters that are bad but after awhile I couldn't. I liked the first two chapters with Maddie but with it came to Keane's I felt my IQ drop A LOT, his chapters were unnecessarily over explained and the way he spoke is so ridiculous and immature. This is my first book from the author and I don't know if this is how the other books will be or was it just for this one; but it is making me hesitate to read her other ones. I hope it's just this book.
This is my first Lauren Rowe book and I love it. Honestly, Ball Peen Hammer is exactly what the doctor ordered to lighten my day and make me smile. Ball Peen Hammer is a standalone novel, something for which I am most grateful. I purchased the book when it released in the summer but, with so much on my plate I just got the chance to read it.

Ball Peen Hammer is the stage name of Keane Morgan one of the most popular male strippers in Seattle. He is a hoot and so full of himself. He can’t help it though because the women throw money at him in hopes that they will score. Of course BPH doesn’t mess with his clients, he learned that lesson the hard way. He doesn’t do relationships either; one night stands is all he can commit too at this stage of his career. There is more to Keene than the person he seems when we first meet him. There is depth to this character that is developed more completely throughout the story.

“He’s Daffy Duck trapped inside Prince Charming’s body. Quite an entertaining combination, I must admit. He’s like watching my own private reality TV show.”

Enter Maddy Milliken, a driven photographer with goals. She works hard and is accepted into UCLA film school. Fortunately, her sister has connections and a place for her to stay. I love Maddy; she is my favorite type of female character. She is feisty, funny, goal oriented, and not easily taken in by the BPH as they drive from Seattle to LA.

My third favorite character in the book is Keene’s roommate Zander. Usually I would call him a secondary character but the scenes with Zander and Keene, his “wifey,” are so funny I can’t put him in an ancillary roll. Zander and Keene are best friends since eight grade. They are quite the pair and play off each other’s antics.

For most of the book Maddy and Keene are building a friendship. They get off on the wrong foot but as they drive to LA together they enjoy the company. They get to know one another and the characters are believable and capture my heart. Some of the best moments that make me laugh is when Maddy doesn’t react as Keene expects—she isn’t into him that way. It completely throws Keene, because, let’s face it, all women want the “Peen”. The road trip is hilarious and my side hurts from laughing.

The story unfolds at a steady pace told from two points of view, Maddy’s and Keene’s. There is a little sex and angst thrown in for good measure. The chemistry between Maddy and Keene is there from the start and grows as the story progresses.
I highly recommend Ball Peen Hammer especially if you are a fan of romantic comedies. A good laugh and a fun read is needed occasionally. BPH will stay on my re-read list, and since I purchased the audio, I’ll listen to it when I need something light and fun to brighten my day. Now I have to check out more Lauren Rowe books because she is on my must read list.
