The witch will know the one she is meant to love and who is meant to love her. The winner agrees to stay for a year and a day. After that he can leave without his memory of the place or stay and make the union permanent. Ravish does choose Will and he thinks he can commit. At least for a year and a day. Over that year, he is introduced to a world of wonders.

The story is told by Will. Sometimes you will love him. Just as often you will want to give him a swift kick. He can be quite egotistical and blind to the truth. He is frequently skeptical and has issues with trust. He can also be brave, kind, charming, and funny. Deep down he is a wonderful person even if he tries to hide it.

Victoria Danann has created a wonderful world filled with characters you will come to love. Each of them is unique and complex in their own way. The previous winners form a happy brotherhood. Raider is hoot and Simon is endearing. The witches themselves are fascinating and powerful. I am looking forward to reading more about them, especially the little girl Destiny and her dog Izzy who thinks he's a bear. I want to move to Wimberley. Too bad there aren't male Wimberley witches. I would like to win one of them. Victoria, can't you waive you magical writing pen and make that happen?

Willem was likable if a bit self absorbed with his life as a wantabee actor and had no real connection to his life. When he arrives in Texas, he is still self absorbed and remained largely uninformed of what he was doing. It was good to see he become focused outside himself but there was little detail of his evolution. Reading of his brief return home after leaving his Rave was nice and seeing his interest in family humanized him and made him more likable. I am looking forward to the second book.
There isn't really much to say. Okay, maybe there's a little to say

First, quality-wise it is typical Victoria Danann - 1st class.
Story-wise Not your typical Victoria Danann, a different side of her but that being said, just as great as the more serious books. Okay, possibly a little better. I think I read this in one day which is not the norm for me. I bought it basically because the author said I would like it and because she is one of my "most favorite" authors. She was right, I enjoyed it. Immensely. I'll possibly re-read it soon.

So, no story line but I'll just tell you like the announcement blurb sort of said - Trust me, you will like it! Well, if you like Victoria Danann and you like, or are curious about, good witchy stories. Personally I think Ravish let Willem of just a little easy in the end but hey, I think he deserved at least a little more punishment. He deserved it. And how can someone that incredibly dense in the head get a college degree?
Victoria Danann is one of my favorite authors and she really delivers with Willem ; the first in Witches of Wimberley series. The plot is innovative and (being a Texan) the setting descriptions are spot on. Her writing flows smoothly and there are very few editing problems. While this is a witchy paranormal read it really is a love story to make your heart sing. Don't miss this book.
I don't recommend this book. Why don't the witches just go out in the real world if they are that hot and meet the guys they know they are meant to spend the rest of their life with instead of a fake competition? Make them fall in love before they admit they are witches? That is just crazy. No wonder this guy had cold feet. The writer seems to be pretty good, but this book is a waste of money as far as the story goes.
Victoria Danann has struck literary gold once again! Willem, the first book in the Witches of Wimberley series, is full of visually funny scenes and humor, also it has enough sexy bits to keep you reading late into the night. I love these characters so much. Willem and Ravish are literally made for each other. Destiny, Ravish's little sister, with help from her beagle, Izzy, come close to stealing Willem and Ravish's very important night.
Victoria Danann is a master storyteller. You will not want to stop reading, I didn't. Book two in the Witches of Wimberley series. Is Witches Want Forever. It is available at all the usual places.
Oh, what a wonderful, exciting new way Victoria Danann has taken us in Willem. In the beginning of the book Ms. Danann does a really good job explaining what, why and how Willem got to where he is in life. He’s kind of lost and just going through the motions of what he thought he wanted. Until he gets a card with a number to call, to meet the Wimberly Witches. Not knowing what will happen, he calls it and takes a leap of faith and goes for it. He will discover that one phone call takes him on a journey of competition; for what he’s not sure, fun, humor, suspense and a life anyone would die to have. Except maybe Willem. He doesn’t believe in love or being tied down, trapped. Will he find a Witch that’s made for him, or will he do what he always does and just move on? This is a wonderful book and I can not wait for the rest of the Witches of Wimberley books to come out. Thank you for this journey Ms. Danann.
If you are a fan of the Knights of the Black Swan novels, this is nothing like them. The protagonist is boring, self-centered, and the book doesn't seem to have any plot or suspense. If you like listening to a seemingly 19-year-old male wanna be actor talk about his life, then this book is for you. I'm a big fan of the Black Swan novels and have also read her Exiled novels, although I don't like them as well. I'd recommend a pass on this one.
